Anti-Rabies Shots
When I was growing up, my parents were concerned that listening to heavy metal would make me aggressive (it was also ‘unladylike’, but let’s not go there). I suppose that I’ve gathered proof enough to the contrary, since I’ve reached middle age without actually murdering anyone, ritualistically or not, and I can tell you there have been times when that was harder than it seems. Plus, there are many more women in metal now.
So, it’s Monday, the week hasn’t kicked off well, and in order to hold off and not bite anyone’s head off, this is what I’m listening to. (None of the videos have interesting visuals, and have been deliberately chosen like that. Concentrate on what you hear, like I do when I have YouTube running on the next tab!)

I should perhaps be happy that I discovered metal as an adult – one less thing for my parents to be concerned about. I already had enough trouble with my Dad’s worry that I would ‘lose touch with reality’ (whatever that is supposed to mean) because I was reading mostly fantasy and science fiction at the time!
